Kuriftu Resort African Village

I had a brilliant time at Kuriftu Resort and spa African Village. The room was very spacious and had incredible views over the city - at night it was particularly spectacular. The gardens are filled with rosemary, lavender and a host of beautiful flowers which are very well kept. I enjoyed a 90 minute massage in the spa very much. I also enjoyed the gym and pool which allowed me to feel a little better about all the food and drinks I indulged in while there. I must say, the Ethiopian cuisine is so good and I really enjoyed it so much. Most of all though, the hospitality and warmth I was received with was truly the most memorable. I feel like I’ve made good friends there and I really look forward to returning. Kuriftu: African Village was, for me an oasis in Addis and definitely worthy of recommendation and I will certainly be back.

My family and I stayed here for two nights during our trip in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with the most amazing service and hospitality we’ve ever received from an establishment. While checking in, we were given freshly squeezed watermelon juice which was so refreshing. The staff immediately carried our bags to our room, giving us a tour of the grounds on the way there. Overnight, there are staff scattered across the grounds for safety and convenience. They also proved daily housekeeping and 24/7 room service. The food served at their 24/7 on-site restaurant was amazing and authentic! They always had both Ethiopian and Western cuisines to choose from. The staff carried our plates, served us drinks, pulled out our chairs, and checked on us repeatedly to ensure our happiness and satisfaction. Amazing service! The massages we received were also great - we were able to use the steam room & sauna before getting our massage, which only added to our relaxation. While in the spa, you are offered refreshments and the opportunity to use a day bed to recover from the sauna/steam room. The indoor pool is also a nice way to unwind and lounge. Overall, the staff were all incredibly kind, accommodating, and attentive. The managers Abayneh and Kasaye are saints - they worked hard to ensure we were happy throughout our stay and had everything we needed! It was more than good service, they treated us like family. I can’t say enough good things about them. My family and I have been blessed enough to stay at resorts in many different countries, but this resort was hands-down the BEST, especially for the price. We were sad to leave! I don’t have a single complaint. We will definitely be coming back and spreading the word.

Wonderful get away with good friends! The service was excellent from check-in to restaurant to spa. We enjoyed our huge room and had many hours of laughs and reminiscing by the fire place.

Fenet, was amazing waitresses and we had wonderful time.The food was great and all the staff were friendly keep the good job and you will have a lot of customers.

That starts from the main gate and visible at every corner of the service areas through reception, restaurant, rooms, and SPA. Every employee cares for the guests and salutes as a family and that leads to create 'feel at home' feeling. We are delighted and would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to the entire employees including the backbones - the chefs. The managers, the supervisors, the janitors, the room cleaners, the guards, the green caretakers, the hotel porters also are well synchronised and work with discipline and smiling faces. The service at spa mase us very entertained and we are thankful to the staff members there who refreshed and restored us. Thank you for your dedication to excellence and for making out stay so memorable. Aschalew, Gelila, Sitota, Josy, Eden and all staff members who saluted and served us with courage and smile, we won't forget you and we are keen to see you again. We look forward to returning and recommending you to others for a unique and entertaining center.
